Naval Diesel

Naval Diesel was founded in 1978 as a company specialising in the reconditioning and overhaul of injection components for marine diesel engines. Originally located in Via Curro, in the Sampierdarena district, it was positioned in a non-strategic location outside the Naval Repair Area of the Port of Genoa.

For 40 years, we have increasingly specialised in the reconditioning of injection components for two-stroke and four-stroke engines from the most important European manufacturers, such as Sulzer, Mak, Man, Wartsila, Deutz, B&W, Pielstick, CAT, MTU, installed both on ships and yachts.

A particular feature that sets us apart is the reconditioning of injector nozzles and injection pump plungers.

Today, Naval Diesel is an ISO 9001-certified company operating in the naval and industrial sectors within the naval repair area of the Port of Genoa. In the last year, we have been developing a department for the overhaul of engines and engine parts for yachts and mega yachts. Our goal for the future is to continue the investment process aimed at ensuring the highest quality of the products we provide to guarantee our customers excellent service.

1995

Naval Diesel moved to its current building on Via Molo Giano next to the dry docks, within the naval repair area of the Port of Genoa

Since 1995, there has been a long process of company growth characterised by significant investments in innovative machinery that have raised the quality standards of the products, the high level of specialisation of the personnel, as well as strategic choices to enter new foreign markets.

2001

From 2001 to 2008, Naval Diesel tripled its turnover. The company increased its work on marine engines, offering the complete overhaul service of injection components, which includes dismantling on board, maintenance in the workshop, timing on engines, and using components specially made at our facility.

New production processes have also been developed, employing innovative state-of-the-art technologies.

Special attention has been given to the research of new anti-seize coatings that have reduced the problems of injection components by 95%, providing an effective response to the current problem of reducing sulfur in fuels.

2017

In 2017, Naval Diesel participated in a major recovery operation of the six Wartsila 12V46C engines installed on the M/N Costa Concordia.

These were completely dismantled, and the internal parts, such as liners, pistons, sleeves, injection pumps, and turbine camshafts, were overhauled thanks to the collaboration with Wartsila

2018

In 2018, an agreement was signed with Bosch Germany for the distribution of all their products on medium power and common rail engines.

2019

In 2019, Naval Diesel was certified ISO 9001, and the new offices were inaugurated at the Via Molo Giano headquarters, which cover an area of 320 square meters.

2022

Contract signed with Alternative Energy Solution.
